X-TREME ACTOR TRAINING

AAE posterIT'S DEFINITELY NOT FOR EVERYONE,

BUT.
If re-living the moment your cat died is not your idea of
'Training',
If you are hungry to generate daring theatre,
If you are excited by demanding physical challenges,
If you are not afraid to stretch your ideas about 'acting',

THIS WORK MAY BE FOR YOU.

Join me in working to reclaim the essential nature of the Theatre; I will help you establish a training program for actors based upon physical imperatives*. This is not just a movement class or a workout. The 'X-treme Actor Training' is intended to develop actors with a powerful, explosive, instrument that communicates and responds in ways you can see. Your actors will train hard, and then will explore the practical application of this work to text and performance. They must be prepared to test their limits.
(8-10 week residency)

*(including Conditioning, Tumbling, Combat, Improvisation, Mask, and Movement theory/practice)

WALK THE WALK
The human body is a walking narrative. The minute you enter a room, your body is talking, but, while every step you take tells a story, it may not be the story that you want to be telling. In this workshop, participants will address issues of carriage, alignment, and stride, learning specific, practical approaches to taking control of the story they tell every time they present themselves.
(1-2 week workshop)
